Round Wood Sorting and Transporting Carriage (RSTW and RUW)
Exhibitor
Baljer & Zembrod GmbH & Co. KG
The electrically-driven round wood sorting and transporting carriage is the optimal technical solution for mid-sized log yards working with long wood. A single operator can measure, cut and sort from inside the same cabin.
The main goal is to increase yield. One fully computer-powered dimension and measuring system collects all relevant data for dividing the timber, resulting in lower operating costs than with a comparable machine using a conventional diesel engine.
In combination with customised additional equipment, such as conveyors, reducers and debarking machines, the mechanisation of the entire log yard can be implemented individually according to customer requirements from a single source.
Transferral with RUW:
For transferral only (without measuring and dividing) the transferral carriage RUW is the perfect solution for a fast handling of round wood in the sawmill. This electrically-driven carriage rides on rails and lets you transfer and sort round wood with lower energy and maintenance costs than with conventional diesel-powered units. In addition, the operator can fully concentrate on the handling since the route is predetermined by the rails, saving time and operating costs.
For the one-shift-work the possible handling capacity realized by this round wood handling car amounts now up to 200,000 m3 solid measure of timber per year.
Baljer & Zembrod is the originator of the RSTW (first model in 1965) and RUW. With more than 2,000 delivered machines, we remain the market leader in this category.
